On 2022 International Frog Day (20 Mar 2022), I peed on a stick because I was late and the stick was expiring in May 2022. #auntiementality #cannotwaste<\/p>\n\n\n

I sat on the toilet seat for a rather long time looking at the stick. I had troubles believing the stick. Must be because it is expiring. Regardless, I informed the Husband about it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next day, I bought another brand, ClearBlue, which it boasted that they are “over 99% accurate”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seems that I can be pregnant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immediately we made a few calls to check if we are able to go to a gynae for a scan. I was worried if it is an ectopic pregnancy (fertilisation happened in fallopian tube), which we will not be able to keep the baby. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was lucky that one of the clinic I called advised that even if I were to go in the next day, there wouldn’t be anything to scan as everything will be too small. Hence, we waited till 31 Mar 2022 to go in to Thomson Women’s clinic at Serangoon for a scan. The clinic assistant even told me what are the signs of ectopic pregnancy and I should go to KK Hospital A&E if I experience any of the signs. #savedmoney<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this time, I was assured by our family Sinseh Low Wei Meow (best sinseh in my opinion) that I can still continue taking his TCM medicine. He and wife also helped keep my pregnancy as secret from MIL until we had the scan. Even he was saying that I will have to wait for the embryo to grow a bit more before anything can be scanned. He also mentioned that I should start taking folic acid and highlighted several stuffs that I need to take note of. For example, if I have brown discharge it means I am too tired. I should rest. Bloody discharge is definitely not good. So appreciative of this couple. \u25e1\u0308 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So on 31 Mar 2022, we went for our first scan. It is still only a water bag, but at least we know that it is at the correct place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The embryo\/ fetus is where the rabbit eye is. Hopefully all will be well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If all goes well. We will want baby’s name to start with H – because H is in between F (Husband’s name is Freddy) & J. For now, this is Hashbrown. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello Hashbrown. Be healthy and keep growing well. Mummy and Daddy love you a lot. We will develop and grow ourselves so that we can be good parents to you. We hope to see you in November 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reminder to self: I got reminded by XL and May that pregnancy is a never ending worrying game. Just try my best to be a healthy and happy mum and enjoy the journey. \u25e1\u0308 I am blessed that I have great support system. #thankyoueveryone #thankyouUniverse <\/p>\n\n\n\n
