Cruise to Nowhere – D3
Day 3 – 15 Sept 2021
WE MANAGED TO CATCH THE SUNRISE!
We did not mean to wake up early to watch the sunrise, it was simply because we didn’t manage to sleep well. I went to the washroom in the middle of the night and did not manage to sleep back then. It was the same for Hubby. Regardless, it was great! ๐ Spamming the sunrise pictures. ๐
Was really happy to be able to see the sunrise. Felt positive watching it. To witness the seemingly small ๅธ่้ป light up the whole sky.
When Hubby is done contemplating life (or watch his clothes dry – who knows), we went for breakfast at Windjammer (what else). After breakfast, he decided to take a nap while I go for 30mins line dance at Seaplex (their multifunction sports hall). Below are some pictures from Seaplex.
Lunch was again at Windjammer. And we took empty wine glasses from them too. Those from pool bars are plastic and from restaurants are glass. Just FYI.
They made MBS! #effort
We brought Blue Seal Bingo soft toy to play BINGO. Originally we are required to purchase BINGO cards and with Bingo soft toy, they will give us some complimentary BINGO cards. However, new system is that they will not charge for BINGO cards and hence Bingo soft toy has lost his magic. We had great fun with him though. One of the very humourous and lively crew made some jokes and the originally rather dry BINGO game was quite entertaining. I have to give it to him for entertaining a large group of Singaporeans. Truthfully we are not a lively bunch.
As it was the last day, I insisted that we have to go jim zui (soak water).
We went back to nua in our stateroom and drank wine.
Reality is that we still need to do laundry Weather was very good
Dinner was at main dining room, this time we were seated in Silk Road restaurant, which was nice with lots of oriental deco. We decided to be fun and dressed up a bit that evening too.
Some pepper soup. I likeee… black pepper beef – Chef’s special His Beef Short Ribs which he loves and talks abt even today my Japanese garlic infused steak mud pie – tastes like sth from Burger King though. LOL additional sweets from the restaurant coz it was the last night Cold shrimp cocktail
This dinner was the best. We were both in love with our respective beef dishes. We were not too impressed with the black pepper beef though. Our conclusion was that Chinese dish still needs Chinese chefs. (somehow the wok hei etc not too evident, hence our little conclusion it is not done by Chinese chef.) Service was good too. Our waiters were very engaging.
To nua, we ordered tea from Cafe Promenade up to our stateroom. We saw stars and decided to go up to the top deck to take a better look. In Singapore we are too bright for us to really see stars. Hubby taught me that the one which does not twinkle is a satellite. I learn something new everyday. We walked the tracks a bit and sat down to just look at stars and a very bright moon, which reminded me of a Chinese phrase which Charsiewpau used to tell me – ๅฎๅพไบๅผ่งๆๆ. I ended the day with a positive note. ๐
